Weekends tend to be when I go home or something else.
There's a pattern in there... I'm always waking up at 7am, the worst day is Tuesday (today) when I leave work the night before at 11:30pm and then get right back up and go back to work for 8am, that's a bit annoying but i made that scheduling myself, oh well, live and learn. I become quite cranky on Tuesdays.
Despite this somewhat bizarre schedule I really like it, it's been over a month since I started all of this craziness and I still think it was the best decision I've ever made in my life. I needed this, I really like all my friends, they're good peoples.
I think we're doing some sort of Halloween thing up here, at least we've been talking about it, I think I'm going to go as "the King" from the Burger King commercials. Creepiest costume ever. :)

| not much in the way of updates this week, settling into a groove, i'm in my new apartment (on campus, but with friends!) and work is going well.
a group of friends and i, Justin, Nicole, KT (short for Catie), Andrew and myself (of course) are thinking of starting the P.S.U.G.H.C. or the Plymouth State University Ghost Hunters Club, we started watching season 2 of Ghost Hunters the other night and got inspired. KT has been doing research on how to do this stuff, I've always loved ghost stories and always wanted to do little investigations, it looks like it may happen.

| so it would appear that i'm moving out of my dorm and into the student apartments, i've gotten an e-mail from the res life people saying sure, the guys you want to live with have requested you and we think this is a good idea. so now it all comes down to money and such. i hope this happens. my current roommates are cool and all, but there's a messy situation I don't want to be in the middle of and plus Andrew and Justin have quickly become good friends so it makes sense.
classes so far are good, i had three yesterday and i have two today. i've somehow been managing a social life, i'm meeting someone new nearly every day and we keep getting along, things are going well. i'm still glad i did this, but i can't wait for saturday... i get to sleep in (and in my own bed at home). I've been getting up at 6:30 or 7 am for the last two weeks nearly straight and staying up till 11:30 or midnight. they've been long days but good ones, spent with kick ass new friends.
they showed Shrek 3 here the other night, apparently the movie companies won't let us have the DVD cause they're afraid we'll copy the dvd... why they would think that I have no idea. :P good times though, hung out with a new friend, Sam, she's funny, she likes Scrubs so we talked about that.
to those that have tried calling, i am alive, i just barely ever answer my phone. e-mail is the easiest way to get a hold of me at this point. or facebook or IM (and even then i'm hardly on that).
laser tag tonight... to go or not to go. that is the question.

| i'm supposed to be working, but i'll blog quickly. setting up the new security on people's computers has been trying, but it's been fun, i'm at least working with someone who works and he's cool. i've been pretty blessed to meet a bunch of cool people up here and have already started building a great group of friends. i might be moving from my current dorm to one of the student apartments, i'm just waiting to hear back from ResLife. i hope this happens, i would love to be with people closer to my own age. classes start wednesday, but tuesday is stuff for freshman, i get to take a tour of the library... at which i work, its mandatory otherwise i'd skip it. Tuesday night they're showing Shrek 3 which is good I missed about 20 minutes of the end when i saw it in the theater. they have movies it seems all the time, the next month and a half includes: shrek 3, spider-man 3, knocked up, and ocean's thirteen. so that's about it for now. except to say that who do you think would win in the epic battle? Trogdor vs. The Kraken. | | |
| its not often (or at all) that i got to brag about Kingswood when I was going there. Plymouth has some of the coolest stuff that I've heard of for a college campus (especially in New England). Our Portal is pretty awesome and powerful, (I'm a little less enamoured with our mail program, but i'm sure I'll be a fan of it soon enough), our Library really kicks ass (we have a Starbucks too)! The ITS department is in the library so I'm happy. A bunch of our behind the scenes guys for tech are really cool, one of them developed a program to integrate like WordPress and the library collection (I mean its pretty darn intuitive). the people have been cool, there are actually girls working in ITS, and so far not anything like the two that I worked with at WorldPath!
i'm sure all the newness will wear off at some point, but i'm happy. i'm glad i did this. granted i've only been here 5 days. but this is good.
